Just as with humans, dogs have their share of best friends and maybe even an enemy or two. While we may never know exactly what goes into a dog’s preferences for a best friend, they are indeed as loyal to their canine friends as they are to their humans. Far from just being great companions, dogs can also be the best buddies of another four-legged pet.

Thankfully, for two gentle giants, they’ve found the very best friends in each other. The problem is, they also lost each other. It was only for a few seconds, but by the looks on their faces, it was the longest seconds of both of their canine lives.

Viewers React to These Dogs’ Lack of Survival Skills

Everyone knows dogs are loyal, funny and loving creatures, but very rarely are they accused of being geniuses. While we have definitely seen our fair share of intelligent puppies, the video of these two gentle giants really proves it to be a rare case. Found playing in a grassy area, both besties were enjoying a wonderful game of tag.

The problem began when one of the two ran to the top of the hill, while the other ran beneath the hill’s open area. At one point, these two besties stood on top of each other, separated by only the hills. Even though they could probably smell each other’s scent and could hear each other, they simply couldn’t find each other. Both paced back and forth in great despair at the fact that they couldn’t find their best friend.

It wasn’t until the doggie at the bottom decided to explore up the hill and found their friend patiently scanning the area. They both happily ran down the hill and continued their play date. The comment section was having a field day with this one, with one user joking, “This is too adorable! Just two besties sharing a single brain cell.”

Another viewer summed up the moment, “They smell each other but can’t see each other… Means i miss you dear where are youuuuu.” Like anyone who has been momentarily separated from their bestie, it’s no wonder that both of these pups were absolutely panicking. Hopefully, these two besties don’t have to spend another moment apart and can continue causing chaos together.
