In the fall of 2025, Erica Preece found an abandoned baby deer in her yard who either had a disability at birth or had been injured. The poor thing could barely walk. She took the little fawn in and cared for her, admitting it was a lot of work and plenty of sleepless nights. But over the next few months, the little one, whom she named Sprout, began to recover and thrive. Now she loves to run and jump, as you’ll see in this adorable video.
Watch as Sprout practices jumping the fence, taking a lap around the neighbor’s house before coming back and clearing the fence again effortlessly. She’s happy, and so is Mom, as you’ll hear as she cheers her deer on!
Go, Sprout, go! Erica, the proud mom, shared in the caption, “Speed demon is at it again. I love how she kicks in the turbo when she hits the other hard, LOL!”
