Mother Nature often works in mysterious ways. One of her more intriguing sights is that of interspecies friendships and found family. Sometimes these amusing relationships will happen between cats and dogs, who are supposed to be sworn enemies. But what about a relationship between a monkey and a small kitten? Has anyone ever seen anything like that before?
Well, now we have. In the video below, a monkey has seemingly “adopted” a tiny orange kitten and is taking care of the precious little feline. How exactly this came to pass remains unclear, but what is clear is that this monkey totally adores this precious little orange kitten.
According to this video, these monkeys just straight up “adopted a new team member… A tiny kitten” without any “briefing” or “contact.” This tiny orange kitten now belongs to the monkey’s “jungle daycare” system. As we noted earlier, Mother Nature works in some strange and amusing ways.

But then again, is this scene really as cute as it seems? Is it actually possible for monkeys to take care of a tiny kitten? Is there really something else going on here?
This Video Is Polarizing Social Media

Viewers on social media had a lot of opinions about this video. Some people blasted this video as highly problematic: “This is not cute. It’s tragic.” However, not everyone saw the tragedy in this clip: “If humans have pets, why not animals?”
Some viewers pointed out that humans are (generally) more uniquely qualified to take care of animals than other animals: “We can take care of the pets. Kittens mostly don’t survive with monkeys or any other animals, as they need constant care, food, and milk to be precise. And they are monkeys.”
Other viewers on social media added that these monkeys will not know how to properly feed this kitten: “If you hand it to the monkeys, they will care for it the best they can, but they have no way to feed it. It can’t survive on grubs and small fruits and insects as they can.” Others added that this “kitten will surely die without their mother’s milk.”
But some social media users insisted that these monkeys would be good parents to this kitten because monkeys are allegedly being used to raise tiger orphans: “Monkeys are being used in tiger sanctuaries for bringing up tiger cubs without parents all the time.”
However, some people on social media were simply taken aback by the unexpected sight in this video: “When I saw this, all I said was ‘shut up’, because it is perfect and weird all at the same time.”
