Celeana is a dog mom to two adopted Pit Bulls named Barnabas and Luna. Barnabas, who also goes by Barney, is deaf and a very deep sleeper. Celeana’s dad was watching her dogs recently, and she called to ask how things were going. He told her he thought Barney was dead for a minute, so she decided to check the house camera to see what had happened.

Make sure your sound is on for this one because Grandpa’s reaction to trying to wake the dog up and him not waking up is too funny. Fortunately, this story ends happily!

Funny Reactions to the Deaf Dog Sleeping

After watching Grandpa try to wake up Barney, viewers had some funny things to say. Like @badkitty842, who said, “Him yelling his name then saying, ‘Oh my god dude,’ I’m so weak!!!” Celeana replied, “Barnabas really knows how to keep us all on our toes, LOL!”

@Alejandra E can relate. “OMG, recently my Pit was in such a deep sleep that I thought she just looked a bit weird, so I started calling for her, and no response. I started shaking her to see if she would wake up while I was freaking out, yelling her name, and she just let out aloud snore, woke up, and looked at me as if I was bothering her!”

Celeana shared in another comment, “Seriously though! We have thought he crossed the Rainbow Bridge at least 5 times now, and every time he’s just been sleeping!” This gives sleeping like the dead a whole new meaning!
