Spicy Orange Cat Rescued Against His Will Won’t Stop Complaining to His New Foster Mom

Rescuing an animal is always cause for celebration, but that doesn’t mean every rescued animal is thrilled to be in someone’s care. Sometimes, living on the streets is all they’ve known, and being cooped up in a kennel can feel stressful rather than relaxing. Little do they know that their every wish has been answered!

One cat foster mom, Ciana, witnessed this firsthand when she brought home her newest foster cat. He may be a young orange kitten, but he has grumpy old man energy! He was not happy about being rescued, and he wasn’t afraid to let his foster mom know it.

What a little grouch! From his airplane ears and stink eye to his relentless meows, this unhappy camper is pulling out all the stops to let Ciana know how annoyed he is. Unluckily for him, his anger only makes him cuter!

“He’s gonna let you rescue him, but he’s gonna complain the whole time,” @pistole.johni commented. He’s just like a kid with attitude! Still, this rescue kitten will come around eventually, when he learns how wonderful it is to be loved.

A couple of viewers were worried that this cat, who was “upset in lower case,” was actually in pain. Ciana explained in the video description that he’s extremely skinny and has some concerning GI issues, so discomfort isn’t out of the question. Luckily, his foster mama has him on a high-calorie diet with any needed medications, so he’ll be on his way to recovery in no time.

This grumpy cat may have old-man vibes, but he’s actually just a baby! He was found during a trap-neuter-release program along with many other older cats, and his young age is a big reason why he went to a foster home instead of back on the street with his friends. It also gives him plenty of time to get used to being around people before finding his forever home!

Naming a Spicy Kitten

Ciana loves sharing her foster cats’ journeys with her social media followers, but she also took to the Internet for help naming the spicy kitten. And the suggestions did not disappoint!

One of the most popular choices was “Prince John,” after the animated lion antagonist from Robin Hood. Others suggested Nacho because of his triangle-shaped head and because “he’s nacho friend yet.” In the end, Ciana chose to call this spicy baby Rumplestiltskin, though most of his new fans are calling him Grumplestiltskin instead!
