Weddings are truly a family event, with many couples including their fur babies in the festivities. Dogs and cats sometimes serve as ring bearers or attendants in the wedding party to make the day extra special.
Wally the Golden Retriever had several roles in his parents’ nuptials and even joined them on their honeymoon. While enjoying some R&R, Wally caught the eye of another canine cutie from a distance and the two shared a romantic gaze.
In the TikTok from @wally.meets.world, special moments from the vacation were captured on video.
“We did a little ‘minimoon’ upstate, just us, Wally, and the most peaceful few days we’ve had in a long time,” Wally’s mom said as she narrated the video of a beautiful woodsy retreat.
The couple stayed in a pet-friendly New York State resort so Wally could enjoy the amenities and breathtaking scenery with them. The reception desk was fully prepared to welcome Wally with some tasty treats.
“They let dogs pretty much everywhere except the spa, which meant romantic dinners with Wally right by our side,” she remarked. “He made himself at home instantly, jumped on the bed like he owned the place, and ran around the property like it was his own personal kingdom.”
Several clips showed the gorgeous Golden inspecting the shower, lounging on the bed, and running through grass and tennis courts. Wally believed in capitalizing on all vacation resources, including some four-wheel transportation.
“He also loved riding in the jeeps that they used to drive you to your cabin,” the precious pooch’s mom shared as Wally climbed in to the fancy vehicle. “He thought that was the best part of the whole trip.”
A Female Fur Baby Caught Wally’s Eye
The family of three encountered some inclement weather while on the trip, but they enjoyed those cozy days just curling up and relaxing.
On one of those rainy days, Wally “made some friends” by doing some fur baby flirting with a fluffy white dog across from his cabin. The darling dog stared at Wally and returned his romantic gaze as the raindrops fell between them. It was almost like a rom-com movie scene.

Though the caption revealed that nothing materialized from the “missed connection”, Wally was clearly enamored with the “cutie in Cabin 14”. Maybe they swapped cell numbers.
The tranquil getaway was a big hit with the newlyweds and their canine companion.
“What we’ve learned is, it’s not always about fancy plans,” Wally’s mom noted. “It was about slowing down, being together, and having our little family all in one place.”
