Some people have a gift for keeping calm and letting outside annoyances bounce right off. Whether it’s stressful traffic, a co-worker who pushes your buttons, or an unrelenting sound that doesn’t go away, some are surprisingly unfazed by situations others would find maddening.

This orange cat is the epitome of self-composed despite being pecked at by a Mockingbird and it’s quite impressive.

The pretty kitty was taking a stroll outside, just minding his own business in the TikTok from @marvenus2424. With each step he took, an aggressive Mockingbird intermittently swooped down and purposely bumped into him. Apparently, this was not the first time the bird had a bone to pick with the orange feline.

“This bird is always bothering my cat,” the caption explained. “I’m not sure if he wants to play or he just hates them.”

Despite the mockingbird’s persistent pecks, the feline was completely unfazed. He didn’t speed up his pace or even turn around to give an angry look. The fur baby took his time with each step and paid no attention to the pesky bird.

Followers were amazed at how relaxed and unruffled the orange cat was during the contentious interaction and wanted his secret to serenity.

“I want to be as unbothered as your cat,” one remarked.

“Your cat has the patience of a saint! That bird is such a bully,” another pointed out.

“The cat is amazing for not caring,” a fan posted.

“I seriously wish I could be this unbothered by life’s issues,” someone shared.

Mockingbirds Are Very Territorial

The bird may have been in attack mode if he felt his territory was being invaded. Although Mockingbirds can exhibit some aggressive tendencies, they also have some interesting qualities including:

  • Mockingbirds can imitate over 200 different bird songs.

  • They often repeat phrases multiple times before trying a new sound.

  • Mockingbirds can sing day and night, especially during breeding season.

  • They are vigilant defenders of their territories and will confront intruders without hesitation.

  • Mockingbirds can live for over 10 years.

Maybe one day this Mockingbird will take the time to introduce himself in a friendlier manner. In the meantime, this cat doesn’t seem to care either way.
