Christmastime is the best part of the year for many different reasons. Snow, spending time with family, and my personal favorite —traditions—really round out the year. While people’s traditions, such as Christmas lights, hot cocoa, and caroling, may be on the list, we also need something special for the pups.
Pet parents love getting their pets Advent calendars as a way to get in the spirit of the season. Discount grocer Aldi recently unveiled its long-awaited Advent calendar collection, including this adorable, squishy, squeaker-filled gem for the pups in our lives.

Heart To Tail Dog Advent Calendar, $12.99 at Aldi
Aldi
The Heart to Tail 12 Days Dog Plush Toys Advent Calendar is the perfect daily activity to up your pup’s holiday spirit. The box is cute enough to display all December long, featuring a festive red Santa on the front. The sleigh is adorned with presents and adorable pups of various breeds. Since there are only 12 days in this set, you have the option of starting it at the beginning of the month to get into the spirit sooner, or wait until the 12th for a lead-up to the big day.
Either way, your pup will get a new toy to enjoy every single day. The toys are plush with a squeaker inside, but the retailer does not specify the size of each toy. If your dog’s like mine, they will go nuts trying to pull the plush apart for the squeaker, giving the toys probably a shelf life of just one day.
If your pup loves a good advent calendar, you may want to jump on this one ASAP. Although they were released this week, they seem to sell out quickly, and the retailer has no plans to restock the selection.
Advent calendars are available in Aldi stores across the United States. You can also order them for curbside pickup and delivery, where available. Check your store’s availability online. While the retailer hasn’t mentioned a quantity limit, it is always a possibility.
