Now this is a heartwarming dog moment, if ever we saw one.

Dog siblings have to help each other out, and that’s exactly what we see in this sweet, emotional dog video, where Cinnamon, the Pomeranian, lets her deaf dog sister, Bambi, know their mom is home.

This Sweet Moment Shows How Dogs Take Care of Each Other

Bambi, a Dachshund, is fast asleep, as you can see, but with a little nudge from Cinnamon, she knows that Mom has returned.

It really is so sweet when dogs help each other out.

Their mom wrote in the caption, “The best big sister!! She always makes sure to alert Bambi when I’ve made it back home.”

These two girls really have the sweetest dog bond!

You can see that here in another video of them lying in bed together, with Bambi even licking her pal Cinnamon.

Do Dogs Know When Another Is Deaf?

The question is, do dogs know when another dog is deaf?

According to Dogster, a lot of it comes down to instinct.

Cinnamon doesn’t understand what deafness is, but she has probably noticed behavioral differences in Bambi, like not responding when their mom calls or barking when someone comes to the door.

The Pomeranian is clearly very observant and has figured out that there is some reason her sister doesn’t know when Mom comes home, so she has to change her behavior and respond accordingly, which means letting her know what’s happening.

It’s so caring and sweet, and it shows you just how sensitive dogs are.

With just a simple gesture, Cinnamon can communicate without sound to her fellow pup.

If you have a deaf dog, remember to never leave them alone in the yard, even with another trusted dog like Cinnamon.

They need more supervision.

Anyone who has more than one dog knows how closely they watch and learn from each other—but this takes it to another level.
