Rottweiler’s Not-So-Subtle Way of Telling Mom To Answer the Phone Is Priceless

Some noises are tougher to tolerate than others. While many people loathe the sound of a vacuum, others can’t bear to hear water running in a sink. Whatever sound gets your goat, there’s likely one that makes you want to shout, “Turn it off!” or “Make it stop!”

For a Rottweiler named Dave, the sound that he cannot abide is his mom’s ringing work phone. In a hilarious clip, this regal canine wants that phone answered immediately, and he’s not afraid to let his mama know!

“They wanted to show me what my dad‘s dog does when my mom doesn’t answer her work phone in time,” Dave’s family captioned the clip.

Dave would answer that phone himself if he could! If you listen closely, it almost sounds like Dave’s saying, “Hello?” doesn’t it?

A viewer agreed, noting, “I heard him, he said HELLOOOOO.”

Others have funny thoughts about Dave’s reaction:

“I know you hear that ringing,” one person wrote, imagining this pup’s inner dialogue.

“That is a face that screams disgruntled,” someone else added.

Are Rottweilers ‘Working Dogs?’

“Dave was born to be an office manager,” one viewer said.

Ha, yes, we could see him thriving at a reception desk! But alas, another pooch has been given a pink slip at his parent’s place of business.

“My dog is now banned from the office because when I work, people occasionally get a little rude, and the dog won’t stand for anyone raising their voice to me,” someone else commented.

You’ve gotta love that bodyguard mentality!

While Rottweilers might not be ready for true administrative tasks, they are excellent at herding and protecting cattle. They also have strong guarding instincts and have been known to help out the police and the military.

And, as we know from Dave, they’re not afraid to point out a few things that require attention around the house.

“My dog does this when the oven timer beeps for too long. She’s like, ‘Girl, I know you hear that OUR food is ready!'” another viewer commented.

Too funny. One thing you can also say is that these dogs are always paying attention!
