Tabby Cat’s Reaction to Mom Dressing as ‘Mike Wazowski’ Is Too Good

One of the best things about pets is how easy it is to rile them up. Rage-baiting your pet is one of life’s simplest pleasures, and even the best pet parents partake every once in a while. My favorite is giving my youngest dog lots of butt pats!

For one Tabby cat mom, though, it’s not quite so easy. Her sweet kitty is pretty hard to anger, but there was one thing that did the trick pretty much immediately: dressing up as Mike Wazowski from Monsters, Inc.!

Well, @hanszimmerilove has definitely found one way to trick-or-treat. If I saw a deflated Mike Wazowski coming at me, I would definitely throw all of my candy at them to keep them at bay! Put that thing back where it came from, or so help me!

Apparently, Mr. Smokey feels the same way. He’s actually a rescue, and when he first got to his forever home, he was a little bit shy. Luckily, he fell in love with his new mama quickly, and they became the best of friends. Now, he deals with her antics!

He does not like the Mike Wazowski costume one bit. He much prefers his mommy without the costume on, especially since he can’t see her face. If it had been one of the ones with her head still visible, it might have been fine. But just wait until she inflates the costume! He’ll have a cat-niption!

Pets Hate When Humans Change Appearance

If you’ve ever had a pet, you know that there are certain things that will set them off every single time. Number one is us wearing something different from what we normally wear. In this case, it was a Mike Wazowski costume, but it can be something as simple as wearing a hat or shaving your beard.

When we change something about ourselves, they legitimately may feel threatened by us. If it’s simple like clothing, it may get better once you remove the item. For other changes, like shaving or dyeing your hair, it might take them a little longer to get used to it.

Luckily for Mr. Smokey, the Mike Wazowski costume comes right off. It’ll be about a year before he has to deal with it again!
