Senior Pug ‘Bathroom Supervisor’ Taking His Job Very Seriously Is LOL Funny

Uh, oh. Everyone be cool. Barney’s here. The Pug is always keeping an eye out when it comes to his home. Especially the bathroom. The dog is the unofficial “supervisor” of that particular room. In fact, his humans recently took video of the dog “on duty” to share with the internet and it has people cracking right up!

God forbid a person wants a little privacy. With Barney around there’s no such thing. The Pug likes to be all up in his humans’ business at all times of the day. The bathroom is no exception.

The senior Pug was just doing his job. First, he needed to nose his way through the bathroom door. Then he needed to investigate whatever strange things might be going on. In this case, someone had a phone out and was recording. Barney was on it! He was going to make sure that everyone in the bathroom was alright.

“As predicated here comes Barney,” the video’s text overlay reads. I guess his reputation preceded him! “Emotional support bathroom supervisor,” the caption jokes.

And what a good emotional support bathroom supervisor he is! Commenters were really rooting for Barney. They thought he was doing a bang up job.

“Barney has earned the opening of doors, this I can promise,” wrote one person.

“Barney said this camera isn’t up to code and he’s writing you up,” someone else teased.

“The audacity to close a door in Barney’s house,” added a third person.

While another commenter put it bluntly: “This ancient king can do no wrong,” they wrote.

How Long Do Pugs Live?

Barney is the funniest guy. The senior dog is downright quirky! The oldster has won over so many hearts. But it does make me wonder about senior Pugs. What is a typical Pug lifespan?

On average, Pugs live for about 13 to 15 years. But they do have some health issues that can complicate their senior years. Pugs have lots of breathing issues, due to their brachycephalic build.

If you have any questions about your Pug’s health speak with your vet. They’ll give you lots of tips on how to keep your senior dog happy and healthy.
