Orange Cat Opens the Air Fryer by Himself Like He’s About To Make Chicken Wings

Orange Cats already have a reputation for being chaotic little geniuses, but this guy just took it to appliance-level mischief. In the clip, the clever orange king stands on his back legs, plants both front paws on the air fryer handle, and pulls it open like he’s been watching cooking tutorials when no one’s home. He looks completely confident, too, like this is just his normal shift at the snack station.

The second the drawer slides out, he leans his whole head in like he’s checking if the wings are crispy enough. You can practically hear him thinking, 5 more minutes at 400. It’s the kind of behavior that only an Orange Cat would attempt: zero hesitation, maximum ambition, and no awareness of the rules. He was clearly about 2 seconds away from seasoning the basket. This Orange Cat is me when I want a little snacky-snack.

The hilarious TikTok clip, shared by @k.mince, has people in the comments cracking up. One person said, “Now just teach him to put the fries in.” Someone else responded, “Yesterday, my cat learned how to open my liquor cabinet… I’m worried about him.” Now he just has to learn how to mix a mean martini!

Someone else said, “Checking to see if his fish sticks are ready.” Another comment read, “Same!!! My cat opens cabinets, drawers, doors, and anything else he wants, really. I had to install child locks on everything. This cat is also orange.”

One person said, “This is why I can’t do potlucks. Cats on kitchen counters are disgusting.”

Welp, let’s get into it.

How Bad Is It To Let Your Cat on the Kitchen Counters?

Letting your kitty on the kitchen counters isn’t automatically dangerous, but it can become a hygiene issue. Cats walk through litter, explore dusty corners, and step in things outside your control, which means whatever is on their paws ends up where you prepare food. Counter surfing can also lead to safety risks if your kitty gets too close to hot surfaces, open flames, or sharp objects. If you want to discourage the habit, keeping counters clean, offering climbing alternatives, and using gentle deterrents (squirt guns and water spray bottles work great!) can make a big difference without stressing your cat.
