An orange cat named Carter is dreaming of finding his forever family. A TikTok video posted by @melanie.mxo features this poor kitty just waiting around at a cat cafe for some nice humans to adopt him. Be warned: This clip is literally breaking hearts all over the internet!
This kitty really wants to find a family! As shown in the video, this cat looks pretty down. The video text overlay tells us, “This is Carter. He cries at the door waiting for someone to adopt him.”
The caption goes on to explain, “He is at the Witty Whisker Cafe in St. Augustine. He is very loved there, but he would love to find a forever home.”
If you aren’t familiar with this Florida cafe, the Witty Whisker Cat Cafe is a place where cat lovers can grab coffee and a bite to eat. It also features a cat lounge you can visit for a small fee. In there, visitors can interact with various kitties. To get a feel for this cafe’s vibe, here’s a video that gives you a peek inside.
If a person really connects with one of these charming felines, they have the option of pursuing an adoption. In Carter’s case, it’s clear that @melanie.mxo is rooting for him. They even added a call to action in the post caption writing, “TikTok do your thing, and let’s find Carter a forever home.” And checking out the hundreds of comments to this video, I’d say Carter’s family is out there.

Anyone that’s nearby can go visit Carter and the other kitties at the cafe. @aldi_likethestore was so excited about meeting Carter they asked, “OMG. Can I come visit him today?”
One person did get a chance to go spend time with him. @tay_dortch02 said, “I saw him when I visited. He’s so sweet.” @melanie.mxo even replied back adding, “He’s an angel.”
