Tennis balls are absolutely a part of life if you have a Golden Retriever in your home. They just can’t get enough of them. These sweet pups also never seem to forget where they put one—or more likely, which couch they’re all stuck under.

Zebby, the Golden Retriever, recently hit the tennis ball jackpot during his afternoon walk, and Mom shared a TikTok video to commemorate the occasion. As the viral pup—known on TikTok as @zebbythegolden—comes to a stop on the sidewalk, it’s clear he smells something familiar.

Mom says, “What did you find? Oh, my goodness!” as the fluffy pup inches closer to the bucket sitting on top of the mailbox. His human reaches into the bucket labeled: “Free dog tennis balls. Go ahead, take one.” She tells Zebby to sit and be patient as she picks one out for him.

The look in the Golden’s eyes when Mom reached down with the shiny new (to him) tennis ball was pure joy. It is undeniably his best day ever—and it’s written all over his face. He nearly takes his mom’s hand off as she passes him his new prize.

This sweet Golden Retriever is elated and can’t believe his stroke of luck. They head home, and he carries the ball the entire way. He doesn’t even drop it during potty time. He walks with his head held high and a spring in his step that is undeniably cute.
