Persian Cat Who Looks Like Albert Einstein Has the Internet in Awe

All cats are beautiful in their own ways, but some of them really have a unique look that makes them unforgettable, and the cat featured in the TikTok video below is most certainly one of them. Atchoum is a Persian cat, but he doesn’t look quite like the others who belong to his breed—in fact, those who have watched the videos are actually convinced he looks more like Albert Einstein than anything else!

Take a look and decide for yourself:

This video shared by @atchoumthecat on TikTok shows this awe-inspiring kitty sitting on the counter, just waiting for the humans of the house to give him just a crumb of attention. Life as a cat is so hard!

Between his wild fur and his yellow eyes, it’s immediately clear that Atchoum is unlike most cats out there, and that wasn’t lost on those who commented on the video. Along with the Einstein comparisons, one person wrote, “That cat looks like he’s about to send me on a long and difficult quest.”

I simply have to agree. There’s a reason this cat has amassed over 600k followers. He looks so wise!

Atchoum is a Persian With Hypertrichosis

There’s a reason Atchoum has such a unique look—well, besides the fact that he must be Albert Einstein reincarnated into cat form.

In his TikTok bio, his mom explains that he looks the way he does because he has hypertrichosis, which is sometimes referred to as “werewolf syndrome.” According to Rover, his form of the condition is Ambras syndrome, and it’s characterized by excess hair growth all over the body—and yes, this can happen to people, too!

One of the major downsides to having this disorder for Atchoum is that his claws were nonretractable, which became dangerous and could have made him injure himself, so they had to be removed for his own safety. Poor guy!

What he lacks in claws, he makes up for in unique beauty. Anyone can see that!
