TikTok Loves This ‘Mini Lab’ That Just Won’t Grow

We love a small fluff baby. And that’s one of the reasons why we love a recently published TikTok video. The video comes from TikTok user @yellowlab.maisy and, as the name suggests, features a yellow Labrador retriever named Maisy. And the 51-second video documents Maisy’s growth—or, in this case, lack thereof—from puppy to adult dog.

The caption to the video reads, “Our forever puppy, we get asked all the time if she’s still a baby, and at this point, we just say yes. Lol.” The video starts with Maisy as a puppy being held by one of her human parents. The caption on the screen reads, “Everyone: OMG is that a lab puppy? She’s going to be so big!”

The video then features a montage of clips showing Maisy as an adorable puppy. First, she’s lying spread out on her belly on a couch, and then, sitting on the floor beneath one of her human parents, looking tiny. Then, snuggling with a pillow on the same couch, looking super cute again. Then she was standing on the couch.

Then the video cuts to a clip of Maisy being held in her human parent’s arms. The caption on the screen reads, “Her at 4 months old and 14 pounds.” Then it cuts to a clip of her under a couch, captioned, “Still able to fit under the couch.” Next, it shows Maisy trying to climb onto the couch, with the caption, “Still can’t get on the couch.”

Then we receive the next age and weight update. “Her at 6 months and 16 pounds,” the caption on the screen reads, showing Maisy jumping on her human parent. “Still able to fit in her baby bed,” the caption reads, showing Maisy curled up in a little ball, taking up a very little space in her baby bed.

“Now her at 16 months and 42 pounds,” the video says, giving us the final update. “Her compared to our full-sized family lab,” the caption of the video says, showing Maisy next to another adult yellow lab who looks about twice her size. Then it compares her to another lab that is about the same size but is just 3.5 months old. No worries, Maisy! We love you just the way you are.
