Orange Cats are really, truly something else. There’s literally no explanation for why they act this way, but they do! They’re crazy, but affectionate, and sweet, yet spicy at the same time. If you’re looking for a kitty who will take you on a wild ride, this is the one for you!
Recently, one Orange Cat wasn’t behaving super orange-ly. She looked like she just wanted to chill, so her mom decided to invite her onto her lap… only for her to then turn around and pull one of the orangest moves of all time. You can totally see the regret setting in.
Lily’s cat is, indeed, profoundly orange. Both in looks and in spirits, this sweet girl wears her coat color like a badge of honor. She loves to be as close to her mom as possible, while also bringing her slight physical harm. What can she say? She’s a kitty of many talents.
She seems to be really obsessed with her mom’s acrylic nails, which I think is so funny. She loves to get tickled by them, but she seems even happier to try to bite them off! Nail clippers —the natural way—seems to be her calling!

She’s a bit of a rarity, as she’s a female Orange Cat! That almost never happens. Only about 1 in 5 Orange Cats are female. The color is linked to the X chromosome, and since male cats are XY, they only need one copy of the gene to present orange. However, females (XX) need two copies, which is much harder to come by.
When it does happen, though, it’s glorious. Female Orange Cats are super:
This cat is certainly all of those things, plus she’s got a very fluffy belly. It looks very fun to rub.
These two were made for each other. They have everything a healthy relationship should… most of the time. Admittedly, there are times when the kitty gets a little out of hand, but that is to be expected. If you invite a cat onto your lap, you should be prepared to get the claws!
