No reason to call in Mystery Inc.: Landon will have you shouting “Scooby-Dooby-Doo!” when you see him at Heartland Small Animal Rescue in South Bend.

A 4-year-old Great Dane–Rhodesian ridgeback mix, Landon is “a big baby” who gets along with other dogs and children, Heartland says.

He also enjoys car rides and loves all things food. Although Landon still plays and would find a fenced yard ideal but not required, he doesn’t need an active home and isn’t crazily over-active. In fact, he can be “kind of a couch bug” at times and won’t climb stairs.

Beware, though: A previous owner surrendered him because of how big he got — Landon weighs 80 pounds and is a little shorter than a typical Great Dane (30-32 inches for males). A second owner surrendered him because they couldn’t afford him.
