Lorry Brown of Brown Hiking Trails loves sharing the daily antics of her Golden Retrievers and their most unexpected sibling: a pet deer named Benny. The trio does everything together, from playing and eating to sleeping side by side… and apparently even “bathing” together too… sort of.
In a recently shared clip, Benny took on bath duty by giving one of the Goldens, Kai, a very enthusiastic cleaning. The gentle deer lovingly licked Kai, who looked completely relaxed and totally into it, even as he ended up absolutely soaked. Judging by how wet Kai is, we’re guessing this spa session had been going on for quite a while!
We thought it was funny when Benny stopped bathing Kai, who looked at him like, “We’re not done yet! Lorry joked in the video’s caption, “Kai was like, ‘Why you stop?’ LOL!”

Commenters’ Funny Reactions to the Deer Bathing the Golden
We follow @bunsenburner.bmd, and they have a Bernese Mountain Dog named Bernoulli, who is constantly licking their new kitten, who ends up looking a lot like Kai. They call Bernoulli a goober, which makes the comment they left even funnier: “Omg, it’s a deer goober!” @1ghostwriterchick agreed, “Bernoulli has met his match!”
@claudiamonzondiaz was completely confused: “It’s very curious. Why does the adorable deer lick the dog so much? I know it seems he loves it, but is there something more? Maybe the deer likes the taste of the Golden? Or is there some bacteria on the dog’s hair that the deer needs? And are we sure that there is no problem for the deer to eat all the dog’s coat hair? By the way, they both are the cutest I’ve ever seen!”
Guess what? We all thought Kai was wet from his deer bath, so we were surprised to find out that actually wasn’t the case. @kavya1411 asked, “Why is this Golden always WET?!” Lorry replied, “Because they jump in the pond every day, LOL!” @a.mymi hopped in with, “Thought he was wet from the deer, and was like, wow, he has been licking him the whole day?!”
Kai being wet from the pond definitely makes more sense than being wet from a deer bath!
