Abyssinian cats are known for their sleek coats, athletic builds, and striking features, but their eyes are on an entirely different level. Their eyes aren’t just beautiful in color, a bright green that stands out from their coat colors, but these cats also have an intensity that’s hard to miss. When they focus on something, it feels intentional, almost like they’re peering straight through you.
And that’s what we see in this video, which captures the magic as one Abyssinian cat stares unblinkingly, her piercing green eyes fixed. The intensity is instant, drawing you in second by second until you forget to look away. It’s beautiful, mesmerizing, and completely unforgettable.
TikTok user Ceasar Abycat (@ceasar_abycat) shared a video of their beautiful cat, Ceasar, who was recruited to handle a significant part of their holiday plans—to stare—and he does it so well thanks to his green eyes.
In the clip, he’s sitting on the bed, unfazed, giving direct eye contact to whoever is behind the camera. Or as we’re watching it, he’s giving us direct eye contact. And it’s easy to get mesmerized by them because they’re so bright and so clear. It’s one of many features of sweet Caesar that make him easy to stare back at.

In the comments, others were equally taken by this stunning, sleek cat and his incredible ability to draw them in with his eyes. He remains so still, it’s understandable if you check the video to make sure you didn’t accidentally hit pause.
One person wrote, “You’re doing a great job.”
Another shared, “I’m OK with this.”
Someone else added, “So beautiful as usual. I don’t mind him staring at me.”
Other comments included, “Beautiful,” “Merry Christmas,” “Why, thank you,” “Aww, those eyes are mesmerizing,” “I’ll take him,” and “So cute.”

Abyssinian Cats Aren’t Common Breeds, but They’re Not Rare
We don’t hear much about Abyssinian cats, unlike Persians or short-haired domestic cats, but they’re not considered rare. While they may not be a breed we hear about too often, Abyssinian cats make great pets because they’ve got charming personalities.
According to The Spruce Pets, Abyssinian cats are known for their lean, muscular builds, for having ears that are a little too big for their bodies, and for their “large, almond-shaped eyes” that are typically gold or green. They’re considered playful, energetic, and friendly with other pets and children, and they require very little grooming. But they do shed seasonally, need a lot of playtime and exercise, and do better when they have another kitty to play with.
Abyssinian cats are so beautiful, even when they’re staring at you so hard it looks like they’re looking directly into your soul.
