Orange Cat Thinks Dachshund Is ‘Mom’ in Precious Clip

One of the cutest things in history happens every time a cat kneads (aka “makes biscuits”). These forever babies find comfort in the safety of whatever they’re kneading on, which is the greatest compliment if you ask me!

Dave is your typical Orange Cat doing orange boy things, including his special kneading spot of choice: on his Dachshund brother, Benedict! This iconic duo’s bond goes far beyond brotherhood because sweet Dave seems to think Benny is his mama!

If, like me, you’re in need of 17 seconds of pure happiness, @doxiebenny came through. Maybe Dave doesn’t realize the Dachshund is not Mom, or maybe he doesn’t care since Benny is so soft. Either way, here’s your daily dose of tangerine-tinted sunshine!

If that didn’t put a smile on your face, I don’t know what to tell you because this pair is 13/10 cuteness overload! When it comes to the orange boy self-soothing, “zero boundaries” is on-point. Thankfully, Benny doesn’t seem to mind one bit.

“Cats literally never grow up, lol,” one person joked in the comments. “That is the sweetest thing I have ever seen!!!” another praised. “This is hilarious and so precious at the same time!” another added.

Benedict was made to be a parental figure, and I think Dave knew it immediately. From the very beginning, the sweet pup longed to be near the kitten and his siblings, and he cried until he was allowed.

With such a kind, gentle soul, Dave seems to have imprinted on the adorable Doxie, making them the sweetest team-up since Taylor and Travis!

Cats Knead for a Few Cute Reasons

I always take it as a compliment when a cat chooses to make biscuits on me, and as PetMD explains, kneading is a behavior kittens use to get milk from their mom. Because it’s connected to being cared for, they continue into adulthood to express joy, help them relax, and because they feel safe and affectionate toward whatever or whoever is creating that for them.

This is one of those friendships that goes far deeper than most. Hopefully, this kind of love lasts for years to come!
