My dogs can be chatty at times. For instance, my senior Dachshund is extremely vocal regarding anything food related. She whines and gives some low growls when her tummy tells her breakfast and dinner should be served. When we’re having our own dinner, she loudly verbalizes her opinion that we should share. My Pug mix gets expressive when he wants attention — loud sighs, low whines, basically any adorable noise that will prompt some pets.
Winter the Maine Coon cat also seems to say what’s on her mind and wasn’t going quietly when she was turned down for a treat in the kitchen.
In the TikTok from @mainecoonwinter, the gorgeous gray cat sat at the kitchen counter with her paw outstretched toward her mom. Apparently, the two were at a bit of a standoff.
“Get down,” her mom firmly said, though Winter didn’t budge. The pretty kitty must have seen some food and wanted mom to share.
“Winter, I don’t have anything for you,” the feline’s mom explained. Winter clearly wasn’t buying it and meowed in response as if to say “you’re bluffing”. She just stared at her mom in disbelief.
“No, I don’t have any turkey — can you get down?” her mother kindly asked. Winter replied with another insistent mew.
Winter’s mom reiterated that there was no turkey and made several more requests for her to get off the chair. The Maine Coon stayed on the seat and continued to verbally lobby for a piece of poultry. Winter’s demands increased in intensity as the back-and-forth banter went on. For extra emphasis, the feline put her paw up again and began licking the counter.
“Hey — no! Stop begging,” her mom reprimanded, but Winter would not be deterred. The persistent kitty knew what she wanted and wasn’t backing down.

Viewers of the video were empathetic to Winter’s requests and shared some posts to back her up.
“Everyone is on the cat’s side ma’am — get that baby some turkey!!” one noted.
“She’s so cutely adorable, give her everything she wants!” another remarked.

“She cleaned the counter for you so you could give her some turkey,” a follower pointed out.
“I love that she’s debating with you,” someone commented.
The video didn’t reveal if Winter ever got what she asked for, though she was definitely hard to resist.
