Labrador Retrievers are known for many skills; however, patiently looking out the window is not generally one of them. They have a tendency to be very active and inquisitive pups; therefore, sitting still while life passes them by is not really an option for them.
Mabel is a very active Red Fox Labrador puppy who is constantly on the move. She loves her family’s giant yard, and the backyard swimming pool is her favorite place to be. Still, recently, during a forced quiet session indoors, she spotted the cutest little bunny in the backyard and was completely mesmerized by it.
In a recent TikTok video shared by @mabelthefox, viewers were treated to a rare, nearly still video of the 8-month-old Labrador staring longingly out the window. She probably wanted to get out there and play with the little fluffy bunny, but we’d be willing to bet that the rabbit was happy no one opened the door for Mabel to get outside!

If you have been following Mabel’s story, you know she has chosen the life of a pirate and enjoys her active, water-based lifestyle. The Labrador, along with her Dalmatian sister, Millie, has created quite a following across social media as they embark on their adventures, searching for the best flotation devices or boats to take them on all their pirate ship journeys.
Viewers React to Mabel’s Viewing Party
Sweet Mabel has many fans, and several have shared their thoughts about her bunny-watching adventure. @2pupsandagirl87 suggested, “Every fiber of her being is yelling, ‘Let me out!'” which Mom replied, saying, “She did test the durability of the new windows. They held up.”
Another person, @hank1131, mentioned, “Captain Mabel is looking for additional shipmates,” and Mabel’s paw parent joked, “Or dinner for the crew.”
One thing is for sure… this Red Fox Labrador is absolutely adorable, and no matter what she is doing, we honestly can’t wait to see what she is up to next.
