Pomeranian Can’t Stand Still While Waiting for Food and We Can Relate

We all know that feeling of being so hungry you can’t wait a minute longer for your meal. Every second that goes by feels like an eternity until you see that food on your plate. It must be harder for dogs since they don’t understand the concept of time and telling them “it’ll be ready in a minute” doesn’t do much good to ease their impatience. My dogs start their begging about ten minutes before their scheduled breakfast and dinner and aren’t appeased until their bowls are filled.

Keanu the Pomeranian figured out a way to expend his nervous energy while his meals are being prepared and it seems to work for him.

In the TikTok from @keanuthepompom, the famished fur baby was with his mom in the kitchen when she kneeled down and asked him, “Do you want dinner?”

The answer was obvious, so Keanu’s mom got out his bowl and started prepping his meal. Rather than sit by her feet and watch the process, the impatient Pom began briskly walking in circles and up and down the kitchen floor.

“My dog cannot stand still when he’s waiting for his food,” the onscreen text explained.

At one point, Keanu looked a bit lost and searched the kitchen to plan out his next steps. The precious Pom looked like a giant fluff ball as he scurried around in the hopes of soon scarfing down his food. Maybe his strategy was to burn off calories before dinner, or to stay distracted in the hopes of time going faster. Either way, it’s adorable.

Followers Got a Kick Out of Keanu

Viewers of the video were charmed by the little Pomeranian and his enthusiasm over his upcoming meal.

“The food happy dance is sooo REAL,” one posted.

“My Pom goes in circles and stands on his two legs begging like he never ate before,” another wrote.

“He’s gotta get his steps in before the meal,” a follower remarked.

“My Pom also does the tippy-tappy donuts in the kitchen! Then when she REALLY winds up she sits in place and goes ‘Umph!’” someone shared.

Hopefully Keanu got his meal before he tired himself out.
