By now, I’m sure you’ve seen the viral TikTok videos of cat guardians telling their felines a cheesy joke. It doesn’t end there. The parent will then laugh obnoxiously to see how they react. Of course, cats are not pleased with this. They don’t think their owners are funny, and they are often scared by the loud noise. Recently, a TikTok user named Crazy_Bird_Mom found the perfect candidate to run these jokes: cockatoos.
Crazy_Bird_Mom and her cockatoo companion, Koi, came together in a time of need. She had known Koi his entire life with his previous owner. Unfortunately, when he began attacking his former mom, she stepped up and took him in. The duo has a wonderful relationship, and Koi’s bad behavior is no longer an issue. Now, she tells him jokes and he laughs along like it’s the best thing he’s ever heard.

She starts the TikTok by stating that she has a question for him. You can tell by his body language that he is completely stoked before she even gets to the joke. He’s nodding along and making happy noises with his beak.

The joke, she says, is, “What do birds give out on Halloween? Twigs and treats!” She then laughs obnoxiously, but not before Koi got in the first laugh. When she screams, he starts bobbing along. It looks like he is dancing. He also happily caws along with her. He even starts laughing. Cats may not be impressed by this trend, but birds sure are!
“Birds Love Being Loud”
Koi picked up a fan base when the video went viral. One commentator said, “Birds are the only animals chaotic enough to not get scared by this trend.” “They already laugh like that, so he thinks you’re finally being normal!” said another. “BIRDS LOVE BEING LOUD BRUH,” hilariously wrote another viewer.
The comment section proved that the video of Koi and his mom brought a lot of joy. His reaction to such a silly joke brightened the days of everyone who watched the video. Koi went from an unhappy bird to thriving in his home with Crazy_Bird_Mom, who always keeps him laughing.
