For the most part, dogs are creatures of habit, and that means that they love their routines. If you’re late with dinner, forget about it—most pups aren’t going to let their humans live down a mistake like that! For some dogs, other daily activities are what’s most important, like the time they take their walk every day or the time they go to bed for the night.

The Golden Retriever in the video below is most certainly a dog who takes bedtime very seriously, and just in case his mom forgets that it’s time for him to turn in for the evening, he has the cutest way of reminding her.

In this video shared by @lexandbenny on TikTok, we see Benny, the sweet boy that he is, reminding Mom that it’s actually bedtime by showing up right in front of her with his blanket in his mouth.

It’s hard not to know what he’s getting at with this… especially considering how sleepy he looks!

Once he’s confident that his mom has gotten the message, we can see Benny follow her down the hall (blanket still in tow, of course) so she can tuck him in.

The life of a dog can be exhausting. Can anyone blame him for wanting to make sure he turns in for the night on time?

It’s not just that Benny was ready for bed, either—in previous videos, his mom has referred to that very blanket as his “emotional support blankie,” since he seems to enjoy taking it with him wherever he goes.

It’s good to see he has a favorite blanket that brings him so much joy and comfort. I hope he had very sweet dreams!
