Video Shows What Happens When You Get a Second Cat

If you have ever thought of getting a second cat, you will feel very seen by a new Instagram video from @sprinklethesiberian. The post opens with a simple warning on screen, “So you think you want a second cat?” and then it answers the question in four clips. They prove that life only gets louder, more chaotic, and a lot more entertaining if you have two cats.

Having two cats means double the love and chaos

In the video, three of the clips prove that getting a second cat will show you what cat siblings actually look like as the two Siberians start wrestling — one moment, they swat at each other like there’s no tomorrow, while they tumble on a rug like their lives depend on it. In the third clip, they square off on the floor.

Then the video shows the relatively calmer moment where one cat is sitting on the second cat, tangled in a weird position on a perch — still close, but at least not actively brawling. It’s the kind of pose that really convinces you to get two cats. And the video’s caption comes as a tempting warning: “Get ready for a little chaos and a whole lot of love ?.”

This kind of “brawl” between cat siblings is usually a normal cat play, especially with high-energy breeds like Siberians and young cats, with whom the play often looks intense, but usually comes with no real effort to hurt the other cat. Consider it just another practice for hunting and a way to burn off energy. Of course, if a cat constantly hides, yowls, or can’t get away, that’s a different story — possibly a cry for help.

Viewers understood the energy. One person commented, reinforcing the idea that having two cats is “just so entertaining and also good for them,” while another wrote, “So true but they are so entertaining.” Meanwhile, a third user joked, “It’s wwe entertainment!”

Hence, the video proves that getting a second cat can mean twice the love and twice the chaos — maybe in the same five minutes.
