There’s a new puppy on the music scene, and this Little Drummer Boy has the chops to keep the party going all night long!
Meet Thompson, the Bernese Mountain Dog puppy!
“These paws are made for drumming,” Thompson’s pet mamma shares in an adorable clip on TikTok, as the furry fella keeps the beat going on an imaginary set of bongo drums.
And while rock legend Jimi Hendrix could play guitar behind his own head, it looks like Thompson can do his own type of music trick—eating treats while drumming! What a showman!
Fans can’t get enough of this sweet boy and were mesmerized by his skills and massive paws!

“With paws like that, he could be the next Travis Barker,” noted a fan, suggesting this puppy’s skills could someday rival those of the Blink-182 drummer.
“Those paws are MASSIVE,” said another. “Cutest puppy ever.”
Bernese Mountain Dog puppies have gigantic paws that will eventually look proportionate as they grow into gentle giants.

For the time being, though, those fluffy feet are just too adorable!

Of course, whenever I see pets do amazing things like play the drums, I feel compelled to see if my two cats are up to the challenge.
Umm, they were not. In fact, they couldn’t be less cooperative. Things are obviously different with dogs. Oh well!
What Traits Are Bernese Mountain Dogs Known For?
Aside from being exceptional drummers, Berners are known for being gentle, affectionate, and loyal family companions. Intelligent, though slow to mature, they are strong working dogs and prone to shedding. They are also known for their eagerness to please, their need for human companionship, and their striking tricolor coats.
And let’s not forget… that massive size!
In fact, males typically reach 25 to 28 inches tall and weigh 80 to 115 pounds, while females are slightly smaller at 23 to 26 inches and 70 to 95 pounds.
With that in mind, I hope Thompson and his mamma can enjoy drumming together for a few more weeks, because Thompson won’t fit on her lap much longer!
