What’s going on with Auggie, the Golden Retriever puppy?
Is this cutie standing motionless to protest wearing his little green booties, or is he about to dance?
“My puppy is buffering because he hates wearing boots, but I can’t get over him standing in first position,” Auggie’s pet parent shares. “Is Auggie low-key a ballerino?” Take a peek and see if you agree!
Now, I’ve never taken a ballet lesson in my life, so after doing a little internet research to make sure Auggie was actually in first position, I can happily report back that he nailed it! (Heels together, toes out!)
Fans can’t get enough of Auggie and had to share their thoughts on his ballerina moves.
“The most handsome ballerina boy,” a viewer said.
“He was a ballerina in his past life,” another added.
“Wide stance in the back,” a third chimed in.

This boy has obvious talent!

In fact, Auggie could be the next Gene Kelly doing Singin’ in the Rain! Kelly, I learned after doing even more internet research, was a classically trained ballet dancer!
So, you know, I see big things ahead for Auggie!
Now, about those boots…
Should Dogs Wear Boots in Bad Weather?
Dogs don’t need to wear boots in the rain, of course, but they are great for protecting their paws against cold, chemicals (like street salt), and debris, and they provide traction on slippery surfaces. Booties are particularly useful for pups with sensitive paws and city slickers like Auggie walking on particularly dirty sidewalks.
Now, if Auggie ever wants to be discovered as a dancing talent, he’s going to have to up his fashion game. While his green boots are sensible, you gotta dress the part if you’re ever going to be a leading man like Gene Kelly! I think a nice red pair would definitely add a flash of pizzazz!
