Pit Bull ‘Throws a Tantrum’ if Mom Works Past 5:00PM

There are instances where I think my dogs can tell time. Whether it’s because of routine or their body clocks, both my Dachshund and my Pug mix always know when it’s time for meals and walks. If I run a few minutes late, they let me know with pacing, pawing, and whining that they do not appreciate tardiness. My fur babies definitely like to keep me on schedule.

Zara the Pit Bull seems to have the same clock-watching skill and shows her frustration when her mom works overtime.

In the TikTok from @zarathepit, the precious pooch’s mom was finishing up some loose ends from the workday. Zara came into the room with a look on her face that seemed to say, “You do know what time it is, right?”

“If I work past 5 PM, my dog comes in my office and throws a tantrum,” her mom explained.

Zara started nudging items on her mom’s desk to make her presence known. When that didn’t get any results, she tried pawing at the rug to make some noise.

“Excuse me,” her mom reprimanded. “Zara, Mommy’s still working. I’m sorry. I’m almost done. Don’t do that to the rug.”

Zara didn’t want to hear any empty promises. She quietly walked around and sniffed the rug for a few minutes, clearly contemplating another outburst. Finally, the pretty Pittie obeyed her mom and lay down, counting the minutes til she clocked out.

Despite Zara’s frustration, her mom wasn’t behind schedule by that much. “It’s 5:03,” the caption shared.

Time-Conscious Dogs May Be Common

Apparently, Zara and my dogs aren’t the only canines that like to stick to a schedule. Followers shared similar stories about their fur babies’ strict attention to time.

“Mine knocks my hand off the keyboard with his head starting at 4:45,” one posted.

“Honestly, that’s kind of polite for a tantrum. My dog straight up barges into my office and barks for dinner starting at 4:30 sharp,” another revealed.

“Same… Mine climbs up my office chair to cry directly into my face,” someone wrote.

Zara’s mom may want to consider moving up her quitting time to 4:30 or maybe just locking her door from now on.
