Well, one example is a dog who chooses the worst possible location for a nap and then defends it with unwavering commitment. It takes a big personality to stand out like that, and we found one.
In a video shared on social media, we meet a silly but stubborn Mexican Hairless dog, also called a Xoloitzcuintli (Xolo), who refuses to change his nap spot, even though it looks like the most uncomfortable spot ever, despite so many cozier options available. He settles into his awkward position with total confidence, making it clear that comfort is in the eye of the sleeper. It’s stubborn, hilarious, and oddly relatable. Take a look!
@gino_sissy shared this TikTok video on January 12, 2026, and it shows their adorable spotted dog, a Xolo, who was really tired, ready for sleep, and willing to take any opportunity to sleep, no matter the sleeping surface.
He just happened to decide on the side of the couch to take his rest. It’s a typical spot we see cats taking one of their many daily naps, but we don’t often see this with dogs. And especially not dogs who are not the same size as a cat. He’s spilling over, bigger than the couch armrest, and it’s hilarious. It’s even funnier because his dog sibling is next to him on the couch, where this sweet pup would probably be happier on the couch cushion, too.

Temperament of a Mexican Hairless Dog
This sweet doggy is really tired, but you can see he’s loved and has such a sweet personality, which is pretty common for the Mexican Hairless dog, according to experts.
The American Kennel Club says the Mexican Hairless dog, also called a Xoloitzcuintli, is an intelligent breed that is very thoughtful and often deep in thought. While this pup might not look like the most graceful of doggies, this breed tends to be both graceful and rugged, and like any dog, loves a good afternoon nap.
