A real estate team that works in Connecticut and Massachusetts is working on helping people find their dream homes and their dream pets. The Carol Saltus Team has started a program called Free Dog With Every Home Sold, and their goal is to find forever families for dogs and cats who are waiting to be adopted.

A Unique Collaboration Between Real Estate and Rescue
The program is a partnership with the Second Chance Adoption Center, which is an organization that rescues, rehabilitates, and finds homes for pets who are neglected and abandoned.
After a client of the real estate team closes on a house, they are eligible for a no-cost adoption of a cat or dog so they can have a new home and a new pet to call their own.
What if a client sells their house through the Carol Saltus Team? Well, they can also participate in the program, so they can play a part in saving the life of a dog or cat, too.
How the Program Works
How is this all possible? It’s simple: the Carol Saltus Team covers the cost of the adoption, so the adopter doesn’t have to pay the fee. There are criteria that need to be met, but if a buyer or seller qualifies, they can rescue a pet in need of a home with the help of their real estate professionals.
What about people who don’t want to adopt a pet? In that case, a donation will be made to Second Chance Adoption Center in the client’s name, so the non-profit rescue still benefits from the real estate transaction.
Individuals and families who are looking to buy or sell a property in an area where the Carol Saltus Team operates can take advantage of this opportunity to help pets in need while at the same time achieving their real estate goals.
