Such was the case for this German shepherd who deals with anxiety. The eight-year-old dog met his latest family member, and his parents weren’t sure how he’d react. Luckily, his new baby sibling was a friendly, playful tuxedo kitten, and the two hit it off like best mates.

The Sweetest Pairing
The TikTok video, uploaded by @emileamaybe, showcases the heartwarming manner in which a little love goes a long way.
“POV: you bring a kitten home not knowing how your 8 year old, anxious German Shepherd would react and this was their first interaction,” the video caption reads. “He was nervous but was so patient, sweet and gentle.”
In just minutes, the little baby kitten turns the dog’s paws into a slide, rolling down its legs into a ball on the floor. It’s a heartwarming scene that reminds us all what a friend can do for an older pet who may just need someone smaller or younger to look after and love.
