There is nothing quite like that after-salon feeling. Everyone tends to walk with a little more confidence, sway with just the right amount of swagger, and stand a little taller after some much-needed pampering. Whether you’ve had a service to better your nails, skin, hair, or all of the above — a salon trip does wonders for the soul.
Such is the case for a light-colored golden retriever named Duke. His very own TikTok account, @dukethatgolden uploaded a video of him striking a pose after his most recent trip to the groomer. This guy has got some serious aura as he shows off his refreshed look.
The onscreen text reads, “POV my golden retriever after the groomers,” and Duke can be seen sitting tall while his mom oohs and aahs over his fresh cut. With the song “Be My Baby,” by the Ronettes playing softly in the background, his mom offers a cheery “Hi Mister,” to him.
She compliments his picture-perfect posture and tells him, “you look amazing,” before zooming in as Duke appears to doze off for a brief moment — without ever breaking character. She captioned the video with, “His face at the end 😂😂😂😂,” and trust me, his expression is worth the wait.
We have to admit, Duke’s cut and blow out does look pretty incredible. His fur is perfectly shaped and combed neatly around his chest and shoulders. In fact, I am fairly certain he doesn’t have a single lock out of place.
The Comment Section — Completely Obsessed
“He’s not a gentlemen… but a distinguished gentleman,” one user wrote. Another fan of the golden gushed, “Ohhhhhhh Dukie you look so Daper!!! ❤️Duke of New York pose!” A third user thinks that Duke is now ready to audition for reality TV and wrote, “Put this man in a tux and send him off to The Bachelor.” If it weren’t for his slightly different style of walking on four paws rather than two feet, I feel like he would fit right in. He looks rose-ceremony ready to me!
