Bright Yellow Parrot Who Looks Like a Banana Lives for Mom’s Compliments

Our full house is a busy one, filled with my three children’s laughter, three cats going at it during playtime, or my two dogs either screaming at me for another chew or barking with joy when they get amped up. I’ve never had a bird of any kind, but if I did, it’d be a chatty one to keep life fun.

Twinkie is one darling Parrot you won’t soon forget. If there were an award given out for “The Most Distinguished Bird Gentleman in All the Land,” he’d win year after year. Sorry to all the other Cockatoos, Macaws, and Parrots I laugh, cry, and obsess over, but there’s a new boy in town (well, new to me) and he’s ready to steal your heart!

All it takes is a single compliment from Mom—calling Twinkie handsome, which he clearly is—and he’s smitten! His response, saying “I’m a good boy,” makes the already sugary-sweet post one of the best things I’ve seen in 2026.

The stunning banana-colored, cutie-pie Parrot looks straight out of a fever dream, who’s living his best life with his Disney Princess-looking mama. Together, they’re major #bestiesfortheresties goals.

Do Yellow Ringneck Parrots Make Good Pets?

It’s hard to miss the fact that Twinkie is bright yellow, and it’s all thanks to his official title as a Yellow Ringneck Parrot. These are social, playful, intelligent, and adorable birds, beloved for their ability to mimic speech. They begin talking around 8 months to 1 year old, and they’re capable of learning more than 200 words.

With a lifespan of 25 to 30 years, outgoing birds like Twinkie make for the best companions for pet parents who know all about caring for these funny birds and how much attention and mental stimulation they require to thrive.

Because of their general chattiness (they’re anything but shy), these Parrots can be noisy, so a home where constant conversation is welcomed is ideal. That aside, look how cute they can be!

I don’t know if I’ll ever get the chance to care for a sweetheart like Twinkie, so I’m thankful to live in a time I can get my fill through all the precious content like his. He really is a very good boy!
