Gift giving is one of the sweetest ways to show someone how much you care. Humans find joy in doing special things for one another, and of course, for their four-legged family members. It’s not every day that those beloved pets are able to return the love and recognition, but when they do, it creates a magical moment worthy of a storybook.
Chewy, the Newfoundland, has a favorite person: his 96-year-old grandma, who lives next door. The duo has recently gone viral on TikTok thanks to Mom’s videos showing their beautiful moments together. They’ve done everything from playing in the snow together to sharing a bowl of ice cream, and when Chewy decides to be a picky eater, Grandma is the only one who can get him to eat.
In their most recent video shared by @chewythenewfie, the Newfoundland surprised his grandma with the most special gift a pup could give… a personalized pillow of himself! That’s right, Chewy brought her a heartwarming Valentine’s Day surprise in a pink gift bag covered in red glittery hearts, topped off with a festive balloon bouquet.

Grandma says, “What did you get me?” while Chewy sits proudly next to the bench she’s sitting on. She pulls the pillow out of the bag, giggles, and exclaims, “Ahh, look at this!” The pup is attentive, and you can almost see a smile on his face as she shows him the pillow with his face on it.

Mom wrote in the video caption, “What do you get someone who is 96?”
Well, we think Chewy (and his mom) picked out the perfect present for Grandma, and based on her reaction, it’s pretty clear she thinks so, too! Many of his followers also commented on the thoughtfulness of his gift.
One commenter said, “Grandma is gonna hug the stuffing out of that pillow.” While another admitted, “My heart can’t handle all this love!”🥰
This Newfoundland and his grandma share a very special relationship, and we love watching them spend time together.
