Grandmas don’t just spoil their grandchildren—they spoil their grand-dogs, too, and most paw parents don’t stand a chance! My dogs love staying at my mom’s house because they know snacks (and even bacon) are part of the deal. They always come back home a few pounds heavier, too!

Chewy, the Newfoundland, absolutely adores his visits with his 96-year-old grandma. Living right next door makes it easy for them to spend lots of time together, and of course, the extra spoiling only makes each moment even sweeter. Grandma always makes sure the pup is included in everything the family does.

She recently invited Chewy to join her for a sleepover, and saying he was excited would be an understatement. His mom walked him over and cheerfully asked, “Are you ready for your sleepover?” as she opened the front door. Grandma was waiting in the living room, and as Chewy went to greet her, she exclaimed, “It’s sleepover night with me!”

The pup was eager to get the evening started and didn’t waste a minute before heading to the kitchen to wait for Grandma to scoop “their” ice cream. After their little treat, Mom helped the two settle in for the night. Chewy hopped onto his grandma’s bed, prompting Mom to giggle, “Grandma, how the heck are you going to get up in there? He takes up your whole bed!”

Of course, neither Chewy nor Grandma seemed worried about sharing the space—clearly, they’re used to this cozy arrangement.
