Dogs with physical challenges quickly learn how to navigate their environment. Canines who are blind, deaf, or have limb issues find new ways to adapt and accomplish tasks. Their ability to acclimate and overcome obstacles with a positive attitude is truly inspiring.

Betty the rescue Pit Bull is one of those dogs that didn’t let a missing leg slow her down. The pretty Pittie just got a prosthetic leg and is now totally unstoppable.

In the TikTok from @bettyandherboots, Betty literally had a smile on her face as she scurried around the room, wagging her tail nonstop. There was a very good reason for her excitement.

“Today our rescue dog got a prosthetic leg and we saw her jump for the first time,” the onscreen text explained.

Betty’s joy was palpable as she finally experienced having four working limbs. She literally couldn’t contain her joy and jumped up in delight.

“I’ve never seen her jump into the air!” her mom exclaimed. “I think she’s excited!”

The caption shared more of Betty’s story and why this new limb was a game-changer for the fur baby.

“Pure joy! Betty was found as a stray last fall, missing both of her back feet and part of one leg. Today, she got a prosthetic and is re-learning to walk, run, and play!” the caption noted.

Followers fell in love with Betty and cheered for her amazing milestone.

“Classic Pittie: ‘Oh boy, I’ve been wanting to jump up at you for so long, how’d you know??'” one posted.

“She was so excited to show you she can jump!” another pointed out.

“Dogs will get better from anything and immediately find out what their maximums are,” a follower noted.

“So happy — and she deserves every bit of joy in the world,” someone raved.

Betty Is Missing Two Feet

Another post from the social media account revealed that Betty was missing both of her back feet when she was found as a stray last year. Yet that didn’t dim her bright spirit and loving heart.

“Betty’s vet confirmed that her missing feet are a result of trauma and likely human-inflicted,” the caption explained. “Despite this, Betty is the sweetest dog and adores everyone she meets.”

With a new leg and a genuine zest for life, Betty is ready for anything that comes her way.
