Do you remember being a young child and sometimes having to be cooped up in the house, not being allowed to go anywhere? Whether the cause was stormy weather or an abnormally cold winter day, there were times when you had to stay put. But when you finally got a chance to get out, you probably took advantage of playing outside, staying out as long as you could. Well, human kids aren’t the only ones who enjoy playtime outdoors. Many of our animal friends do too.
@loshafarms reminded us of that in their latest TikTok video. In it, some baby Highland Cows and ponies experience a pasture for the first time. And the pure joy these animals have is simply adorable!
Isn’t this the sweetest thing? The video begins with a few of the cows slowly walking around. Then the text overlay explains, “When the pasture gates finally open after weeks in a small pen…” And that’s when everything changes for these little ones.
As the video plays on, you see these small cows running as fast as their little legs can carry them. Along with the footage of the baby calves, there are clips of ponies excitedly running around the pasture. “Freedom never looked so beautiful,” the video text adds, and we couldn’t agree more.

You can practically feel the wonder and enthusiasm through the screen! “This is what happy animals look like,” @loshafarms wrote. As the video continues on, you see a snapshot of the adult animals watching the young ones playing around.
After all, who doesn’t enjoy seeing kids have good, clean fun? Their human family sure did, and they even said, “The herds’s happiness makes it all worth it.” No argument here.
We’re sure it was no easy feat to gather them all back up when it was time to come in as the baby cows and ponies were racing all over the place.
These Baby Cows Are Fast Runners
It’s no secret that many baby animals can be playful and full of energy. That goes for baby cows and ponies too. Some can even be little pranksters. But people in the comments were pretty shocked at how fast these Highland Cows were running.
Commenter @purlnhook was stunned and said, “Wow! They can run fast!” She wasn’t the only one surprised. @loshafarms replied, “Who knew, right? LOL. I was shocked!” Remember, this was their first time running free.
“She certainly was moooovin’,” @tdailey15 joked, and @loshafarms wrote back to them and added, “I didn’t know she had it in her. She’s a little box. LOL.”
With the way those baby cows and ponies were zipping around, they had a really good time. Their humans had just as much fun seeing them happy. In the post caption, @loshafarms said, “Nothing beats seeing your animals happy and free. From baby Highlands to ponies, they all partied like it was the best day ever!” We’re sure it was an unforgettable one for them.
