Rescued Senior Golden Retriever Learning to Use His Voice Is Music to Our Ears

Meet Bruce, a senior Golden Retriever who sadly spent the first nine years of his life locked in a shed and used as a stud dog at a puppy mill. He was rescued by his moms, Aub and Kori, and since then, he’s been living the life of a spoiled dog, and everybody adores him.

This old man was also afraid to use his voice because of the abuse he suffered in the past. He now knows he’s safe, though, and sometimes he even howls around his moms. Make sure your sound is on because when you hear his beautiful, soulful howl, it’ll make you smile!

Bruce’s mom said in the caption, “His voice is music to my ears,” and we can’t disagree with that! The look he gives his mom after he howls is just precious, like he’s checking to make sure it’s okay to do it!

Sweet Reactions to Bruce’s Beautiful Howl

Like us, viewers were smitten with hearing the Golden use his sweet voice and left more than 5,700 comments about it. Everybody noticed what @cruisetog pointed out, “Adorable, I love how he looks at you afterwards to just check it’s ok…”

@deblasio3 pointed out, “Bruce sounds like he is actually singing, the most beautiful song, a song of love!”

“Tell him he has the most beautiful voice,” said @NatGeoAnimals, and Bruce’s mom replied, “He says thank you, and we love you!”

@junellybean shared, “This is why it’s so important to let them bark, howl, etc. and not take out their vocal cords! They’re literally just speaking. Who are we to silence them when so many humans use their voice for so many negative things anyway? HOWL AWAY, BRUCE!!!”

Another viewer left a really sweet comment. “Bless him. It makes me sad to think about how he was abused. But so thankful he has such wonderful parents!”

@meowchatta made us laugh with, “SAY ‘Gooood hooooowl’ RIGHT NOW OR I’LL RIOT! OMG HOW HE LOOKS AT YOU!” They don’t need to say it, though. Bruce already knows he’s got a good howl!
