NYC Rescue Dog’s Love of Being ‘Serenaded’ by Famous Foster Parents Will Melt Your Heart

If you’re as obsessed with all things DogTok as I am, there’s a good chance you’re already familiar with Isabel Klee, the dog foster parent in New York who has gained nearly one million followers (and counting) on TikTok. So many people love following along with her journey caring for dogs on their way to their forever home.

This week, Isabel shared a truly sweet moment with her newest foster dog, Whimsy — a Pit Bull mix who just loves being serenaded.

In this video that Isabel shared on Wednesday, November 5, she and her partner are hanging out on the couch, each singing songs inspired by Whimsy… and she immediately goes to whoever is singing. The music pulls her there!

They also determined through this exercise that Whimsy is actually not a fan of Creed… but when it comes to all other music, she’s down.

This video just made people fall in love with Whimsy even more. “That is the most affectionate sweet dog ever!” one person wrote.

I have to agree!

Whimsy the Foster Dog’s Story

Isabel has been sharing Whimsy’s story on social media since she first brought her home just a couple of weeks ago.

On October 20, Isabel shared footage of her going to pick up her newest foster dog, who happened to be the adorable Whimsy. She’d only been taken in by the Manhattan Animal Care Center recently after she was found as a stray and in need of a lot of love and care.

“She is so emaciated and anemic that she is only 15 pounds. She’s also a Pit Bull mix so this is obviously very, very skinny for her,” Isabel explained. “She’s been at the shelter for about two weeks, which I’m sure has been a very stressful and chaotic environment for her.”

As soon as Whimsy spotted Isabel outside of the Manhattan ACC, it was like she knew she was leaving with a safe person (and she was even dressed all cozy in a red sweater).

It was heartbreaking to see how skinny she was, but even in the short time that she’s been with Isabel, it seems like Whimsy is making some major improvements.

In fact, at Whimsy’s weigh-in two weeks after going home with Isabel, she was up to 21 pounds, so she’d gained about six since they met for the first time. That’s pretty impressive!

Whimsy still has a long way to go, but it looks like she’s receiving plenty of love on her journey.
