I love how my two dogs greet me at the door. No matter how long I’m gone, whether it’s three hours or five minutes, they welcome me with wagging tails and excited little jumps. I can actually hear them prancing around and barking before I get my key in the lock because they know I’m home. It’s one of the best parts of being a pet parent.
Ousie the Bichon-Bolognese mix is the picture of pure joy when her dad gets home and is practically exploding with glee whenever he walks in the door.
In the TikTok from @ousiethebolo, the precious pooch must have heard her dad approaching the door because she immediately began prancing around the house like some sort of energy switch had been flipped. Ouisie even slid a little in her excitement and looked like a vibrating ball of fluff as she boogied toward the door.
“Girl dogs when their dads get home,” the onscreen text explained.
The dance party continued when Ouisie’s dad walked inside. The delighted dog sniffed at her father’s shoes as she jumped and literally shook in delight.
Followers adored the canine cutie’s affection for her dad and related some greeting stories of their own.
“Our golden retriever girl almost takes out my husband trying to body slam him every day,” one shared.
“Yeah my girl is in my arms before shoes are off but her reaction is the same,” another posted.
“I do believe the tail is, in fact, wagging that dog,” a follower joked.
“As a girl dog-dad I can confirm this is true,” someone remarked.
Why Dogs Give Excited Greetings
Our fur babies fawn over us when we come home because they’re genuinely happy to see us and want to show their love and affection.

They also love to take in the many scents you bring in after being in the outside world. By jumping on you and covering you with kisses, they can smell all the aromas you experienced while you were away from home.
Ousie may have gotten a few interesting sniffs, but she was mostly overjoyed simply by seeing her dad.
