The Netflix hit series Bridgerton thrilled fans with its recently released fourth season and now has everyone pining for season 5. The period drama combines plenty of romance, drama, and scandal that keeps viewers hooked, with most binge-watching the series as soon as it hits the streaming service.
One particular scene from the fifth episode in season 4 featured Hyacinth Bridgerton (Florence Hunt) hosting a dance and tripping the light fantastic with her brother, Benedict (Luke Thompson). The impressive performance inspired Bridgerton devotees to try the moves out for themselves, which trended on TikTok. Apparently, the dance isn’t just for two-legged fans.
This beautiful Border Collie learned the popular dance from his mom and showed off his impressive moves in the TikTok from @the_trickstars. The precious pooch perfectly pulled off the performance that included bows, paw crossovers, and spins.
The dancing dog’s mom gave verbal commands during each sequence. The prancing pair obviously put plenty of work into the routine and beautifully replicated the steps. Viewers praised the pup’s flawless performance, suggesting that he deserved an official title.
“Paws down, the best Bridgerton dance,” someone remarked.
“Lord Barkington!!!” another declared.
“I looked at my dog and she said it was AI,” a fan joked.
“I’ve never been so impressed by a dog… How long did this take? My dog is still learning to sit and stay,” a follower raved.
Dog Dance Was Not AI
The TikTok went viral and garnered over 15 million views. The performance was so impressive that some suspected AI was involved. The Border Collie‘s mom posted a follow-up video showing their training sessions to prove its authenticity, complete with commands and treats throughout the routine.
“Lots of ‘AI’ comments, so I thought I’d just make a video leaving in my verbal cues and his reward,” the caption explained as the fur baby’s mom could be heard giving clear directions and providing some well-earned treats for a job well done.
Maybe Bridgerton producers will view the video and have the curtsying canine on the show. He’s clearly ready for his close-up.
