Romeo the Retriever (@ourgoldenromeo) is one of many popular pooches on social media, but the latest TikTok from this pup is stealing hearts all over the internet. The best thing about this video is that this dog didn’t do anything but be his bold, expressive self.
“Lots of emotions for such a little guy 🥹🙊♥️,” wrote Romeo’s pet parent in the post’s caption, and it’s easy to see why they would say that. Take a look at this clip, and try to spot all of this Golden Retriever’s many moods.

The Many Moods of Romeo the Retriever
Clearly, Romeo is in touch with his feelings! That’s evident from the video, in which you get a peek at the range of emotions this Golden can experience–or at least what we can decipher from Romeo’s adorable face!
At the start of the clip, Romeo was happy and content while his human gave him gentle pets and scratches. Though as soon as they pulled away, this dog’s peace was seriously disturbed. His smiling face turned into a frown so fast, and viewers noticed the instant change.
In fact, some couldn’t stop laughing at how quickly this pup’s mood shifted. @hema_jeremiah guessed what Romeo could have been thinking at the moment their pet parent pulled away. They joked, “Did I ask [you] to stop hooman? How dare you?” Another, @mlvc1, kidded, “Way too many breaks in between scratchies.😬😘” Apparently, there were too many pauses for Romeo’s liking!

Just as quickly as Romeo’s mood soured, this Golden Retriever was back to being cheerful as soon as their human resumed their affectionate petting. How do you know? Like commenter @frommaplewithlove said, “It’s all right there on the face 😆.”
Of course, their human repeated this one more time for good measure, and the results remained the same. It’s obvious Romeo loves his cuddle time with his pet parent. Really, who could say no to that face?! Even @kleenex chimed in, “Give your dog a[n] ear pet from us 💙.” Please!
It’s a wonder that Romeo’s pet parent doesn’t just cuddle up to him all day long. Romeo’s precious little faces are the absolute best!
