This Man’s Hilarious Solution to a No-Pets Policy Was Simply to Hide Them All, and Honestly, We Respect It

As a lifelong renter, I am very well aware of the no-pets policy in rental homes. Some landlords have been stricter than others, with a few allowing only small pets, while others ban pets altogether. Despite this, I can say there have definitely been a few neighbors with pets (that I will never rat on), who have slyly gotten away with keeping their pets in the home. While I am not at liberty to say, I will say that at times during rental inspections, we may or may not have seen a few dogs and cats conveniently go on a walk at the same time. But again, I never saw anything.

Well, the same convenient situation happened to a funny pet dad who took a different approach to hiding his pets from his landlord. While this is clearly a skit, we can’t help but wonder just how many pet parents may have taken a few ideas from the video.

Viewers React to Pet Dad’s Curious Way of Hiding His Pets

Like I’ve said, most pet parents who want to hide their pets not allowed in the unit will usually take them for a walk or to a relative or friend’s house for a few hours to avoid getting caught. However, this pet dad took things to a new level by hiding all his pets, including four dogs and three cats. With that many pets to hide, you definitely have to give Dad plenty of kudos for the creativity.

Some of the hiding spots included a supply closet, a kitchen drawer and two upper and two lower cabinets. However, despite the many curious places he decided to hide his pets, the most impressive part is the notion that none of them would have barked or howled. Besides three cats (who mostly looked like they would prefer to hang out in the cabinets anyway), this pet dad managed to hide away two golden retrievers and two huskies. With four of those two dog breeds, you definitely have to wonder how long they were able to stay silent.

However, we weren’t the only ones with the same question. Many in the comment section were mostly concerned with how he managed to wrangle golden retrievers and huskies. “Blue and Bauer quiet during the landlord’s visit is remarkable,” commented one viewer. Another user chimed in with, “Wow, I didn’t expect the dogs to be so quiet and content. Especially Bauer and Blue. I guess they have fun playing a little hide and seek.” Clearly, Blue and Bauer have a previous reputation of not being the quiet types.

Either way, this video gives us a few ideas for our next rental home that we may or may not consider.
