There is just something about baby animals that pretty much always makes them as adorable as can be. Perhaps it is the way they express their newness to this world.
The things that are relatively simple for fully grown adult animals, such as balancing and being in command of their bodies, have not yet developed in baby animals. This can result in some really cute moments where baby animals attempt to figure out how their bodies work.
That was the case in this precious video below. In this clip that is going viral on social media with more than 7.5 million likes and 12,000 comments, a tiny grizzly bear cub appears to wave at some nearby humans.
But rather than being a sensational real-life Disney moment, some people believe there is a simpler explanation for this adorable sighting; this precious little bear cub doesn’t know how to balance and is simply trying to stop themselves from falling over.
And others believe this clip to be yet another example of AI-generated slop. But whatever the case may be, this footage is undeniably cute!

According to this viral video, which you can watch by clicking the link here, this moment was the result of this precious little bear cub attempting to learn how to balance herself: “Bear cubs are super unstable when they’re learning how to stand up, and so they often flail their arms to stabilize themselves. It was so cute to see this little cub appear to wave while trying to keep herself steady. Eventually, she still toppled over, though, LOL!”
This moment was undeniably precious. However, in this day and age of AI slop flooding the Internet, seeing isn’t always believing anymore.

Some viewers on social media thought that this clip “looked AI-generated,” and commented that even if bear cubs can wave, this video can’t possibly be real: “I’m sure they could; however, this video is AI.”
But the social media user who posted this adorable video responded to this accusation of it being AI-generated, insisting that not only is this video real, but that they captured this remarkable moment well before AI was invented: “This isn’t AI – none of my videos are. Feel free to look at the rest of my page. You’ll clearly see I’ve been doing this since long before AI. In fact, the first time I posted this video was pre-AI.”
