TikToker Shani Banani has an adorable 8-month-old Dachshund puppy named Louis, who is curious about everything. The two of them were out on a walk recently when Louis noticed a duck standing at the edge of the pond, and he learned the hard way why chasing a duck really isn’t a very good idea.
The video is short, only about 12 seconds long, but it shows Louis happily running toward the duck. The feeling was not mutual for the duck, and the duck wasted no time letting Louis know he was not looking for any new friends and to stay away from his pond!
What’s funny about this is that Louis’s mom said the exact same thing happened a couple of days earlier! We guess the puppy forgot or didn’t learn after the first time!
Commenters felt bad for Louis, like @Greatmovieparts, who shared, “He was like, I DON’T LIKE THIS GAME ANYMORE!!!” @Verucshka added, “‘Momma HELP meeee,’ LOL!”

Shani received negative feedback in the comments on the first video she posted and again on this one, and added a disclaimer to the video’s caption.
“This video shows a very short moment taken out of a much longer walk. My dog is an 8-month-old Dachshund, still learning and growing. What you see was not planned or encouraged in any way; it happened unexpectedly in the moment.
I would never intentionally put my dog or any other animal in harm’s way. I care deeply about animals and their well-being. This has only happened twice in total, and it’s something I take seriously and continue to work on through training.
