Helpful Dachshund Takes Garden Duty Very Seriously and It’s Too Cute

Not all dogs are too keen to help pitch in with the chores when they can just sit back and supervise. The task would probably take less time if they would lend a paw, but committing to a job without getting distracted isn’t so simple for some pups.

But it’s not impossible, which we learn very quickly watching this video of a Miniature Dachshund who is more than willing to get the work done in the garden with her mom. Her focus is impressive and adorable. Take a look!

TikToker @burjandorka shared a video of an afternoon spent in the garden with a very helpful black Mini Dachshund puppy who was determined to pull her weight with the chores, even though she has no idea what she’s doing, and she’s too small (and well, a dog) to be able to help with the garden tools.

So she did the next best thing. The “cutest little helper” decided she’s got everything she could need to practice her green thumb and got right to work tilling the dirt by digging with her little paws. Her face while she’s contributing is the cutest thing because you can see straight away that she’s so proud of herself, and for good reason.

In the comments, people took the time to share some kind words with this Mini Dachshund after all the hard work she put in.

Some comments included, “Baby deserves a treat,” “Mine is just lazy,” “The lil’ paws,” “Adorable and hardworking,” and “I expect them to be paid a livable wage!”

Dachshunds Have a Loving Personality

It’s really fun to see the different personalities that come out of our animal family members and how many of their fun quirks we can see develop when they’re still so young. And for Dachshunds, their loving personalities are among the best things about the breed.

According to the American Kennel Club, Dachshunds can be “spunky, friendly, and curious” with personalities described as “vivacious” and “bold,” while also always staying alert. They can be brave to a fault, the organization warns, but they love their humans hard, are always up for a good time, and well, they’re just plain silly.
