Although dogs love getting wet, most of them absolutely hate bath time. I mean, you can put a Golden Retriever in a lake, and they’ll swim and play for hours, but put that same dog in a bathtub, and suddenly they act like they’re allergic to water.
Thankfully, the bathtub struggles don’t last long, and once your pup is out, the zoomies take over—and honestly, it’s hilarious to watch. Mango, the Golden Retriever, showed off her post-bath zoomies in a recent TikTok video, and it’s worth watching more than once—especially for the epic fail at the very end.
After her bath, the pup takes off running and jumping across the living room furniture. Mom calls it her “post-bath spicy zoomies,” and it’s easy to see why. Mango shows off some serious speed and agility, while she basically turns the room into her own parkour course.
Unfortunately, she let the zoomie spirit move her just a little too much. The Golden Retriever misjudged the distance between the couch and the bed, and after losing her footing, she took a tumble over the back of the sofa. The TikTok caption jokes, “Not the flying toe bean,” referring to Mango’s hind paw being the last thing visible before she disappeared behind the couch, LOL.

Why Do Dogs Get the Zoomies After a Bath?
Experts believe there are several reasons dogs get the zoomies after a bath. According to Rover, the top five reasons pups tend to go a little wild post-bath include:
-
They’re experiencing sensory overload.
-
They’re relieving stress.
-
They’re feeling clean and happy.
Whatever the reason a dog has for taking a wild, free run around the house after a bath, it doesn’t really matter, as long as it makes them happy!
